  11. I have a TARGA  lap top computer with pcmcia port. I tried to buy a US
  12. ROBOTICS Pcmcia 14400 modem but the vendor advised me not to purchase
  13. such a modem since he has had 10 computers like mine coming back for
  14. repair because a US ROBOTICS PCMCIA Modem had burned out the pcmcia
  15. port. I phoned US ROBOTICS FRANCE but they did not know of the
  16. problem.
  17. I phoned ACTEBIS who imports TARGA and they told me to see with my
  18. vendor.
  19. I would like to understand how a pcmcia modem can burn out a pcmcia
  20. port ?
  21. I would like to know from TARGA users (specially in Germany since
  22. Targa is German) if they have found a pcmcia modem that works on their
  23. computer ?
